ALBINA KHRIPKOVA

Albina Khripkova (soprano) was born in Yaroslavl. She graduated from Yaroslavl Musical College named after Sobinov Music Department of A. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University  (St. Petersburg). From 2005 to 2010 she improved her skills with People’s Artist of Armenia A.A. Davtyan.

Khripkova began her professional career in 1997 in St. Petersburg Music and Drama Theater “Premiere” and  St. Petersburg State Theater of Musical Comedy. While studying Albina Khripkova was a regular participant in the subscription concerts of  St. Petersburg Philharmonic. Since 2000, she is a leading soloist of the Yaroslavl State Philharmonic. Albina performed with a large number of collectives and partners, including Yaroslavl Academic Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic, the Ryazan Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Folk Instruments N. Osipov Orchestra, the Municipal Orchestra of Russian folk instruments “Strings of  Russia”, Yaroslavl Municipal Brass Band, the Patriarchal Choir of Moscow Danilov Monastery, the State String Glinka Quartet, ensembles “Baroque”, “Skomoroshina”, “Serpantin”, the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Komi and many others.

In 2003 Albina Khripkova won the first prize at the International Competition of Russian Romance Performers named after I. Yurieva in Estonia. In 2004, she was awarded the II Prize at the Fourth All-Russian Competition of Russian Romance Performers in the Central Federal District. In 2007, Albina became the only singer from the Yaroslavl region, who received the prestigious Central Federal District Award “For Achievements in Literature and Art”. In 2008, Khripkova became a laureate of the international competition of opera singers named after B. Shtokolov, as well as the owner of a special prize at the international contest of opera singers in Italy, Alcamo.

Albina Khripkova also took part in a number of opera projects of the Yaroslavl Academic Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, such as  “Wedding of Figaro”  by Mozart, “Cio-Cio-San” by  Puccini, Menotti’s “Phone”, Iolanta, Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, Demon by Rubinstein and others.

In 2008-2009, Albina participated in the international theater project (musical) “Spin” by D.Pashley  where  she performed the main part. In 2012, she got The Governor’s Gratitude Letter. In 2013, she was awarded the Certificate of Honor from the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. May 31, 2016, Albina Khripkova took part in the music festival named after Irina Arkhipova, as well as at the jubilee party of People’s Artist of the USSR V. Piavko at the Helikon Opera Theater.

Khripkova is also the winner of the Central Federal University prize “For achievements in the field of musical art”. She is also laureate of the 1st prize of the International Competition of Russian Romance Performers named after I. Yurieva (Estonia), laureate of the 2nd prize at the International Opera Singers’ Competition named after B. Shtokolov (St. Petersburg) and winner of a special prize from the Music Academy of Alcamo International Competition of Opera Singers (Italy, Alcamo).
