Les Musicales de Baabdath

What began in 2016 as a simple idea – inviting a few chamber music ensembles and soloists to perform in our hometown – has since blossomed into Les Musicales de Baabdath, a vibrant annual celebration of music. In those early days, a small circle of volunteers, passionate amateurs, and accomplished professionals came together, united by one belief: that music has the power to connect people and transform communities.

Over the years, this shared dream has grown into Les Musicales, an independent, nonprofit, and non-governmental organization dedicated to creating spaces where music can be experienced freely and fully. The festival has become a stage for artistic exchange, bringing together Lebanese and international musicians to perform in Baabdath and beyond. From the harmonies of classical music to the improvisational spirit of jazz and the diverse sounds of world traditions, every performance is an invitation to dialogue and discovery and every concert is open to all, free of charge.

In 2021, thanks to the invaluable partnership of Goethe-Institut Libanon, Les Musicales expanded its mission to include education. Since then, we have hosted yearly chamber music workshops led by renowned German musicians, offering young Lebanese musicians a rare opportunity for advanced training and cross-cultural collaboration.
